This HDD docking station enables an external connection of a 2.5 or 3.5 SATA HDD via a USB interface. The docking cable can also be connected to your hard drive without using the holder. You can protect the hard disk on the PCB side and avoid a possible short circuit by inserting the included cover plates into the mounting holes of your 2.5 or 3.5 HDD. Furthermore you can connect a Blu-ray or DVD drive to the docking connector and connect it to your system. Due to the USB 3.0 standard, a data transfer rate of up to 5 Gb/s (Super Speed) is supported. In case your computer is not equipped with a USB 3.0 interface it is also possible to connect the docking station via USB 2.0 or USB 1.1 port. Then the data transfer rate will comply to the corresponding USB specification. With the One-Touch Backup function you can easily synchronize the data on your hard disk by just one push of a button.
